This is an introductory tour to Namibia, 3-4 hour tour of Windhoek, and an experience on both sides of the city suburbs area and the township. View the historical highlights in Windhoek city center, and where the majority locals reside Katutura Township.
Your guide will pick up your accommodation in Windhoek, times for pick up are 8:00 Am and 2:00 Pm. We visit places like the Houses of Parliament-National Assembly, Parliament Gardens, the old railway station, the Namibia Craft Center, Christuskirche (Christ Church), and Alte Feste (Old Fort).
From the city center, head to the Katutura where we will see different cultural groups such as Damaras, Hereros, and Owambo people.
In Katatura, visit the “Single Quarters,” a local market where you can enjoy a taste of the Namibian specialty Kapana — Namibian beef cooked by the local vendors. Also included is a stop at a local community empowerment project. From here we visit Penduka. The ultimate goal of Penduka is to create a strong brand position built on social relevance.
To this purpose, Penduka also:
– serves as a training and network center.
-organizes exchange programs with the Netherlands and other European countries
– gives out interest-free loans and helps women get loans for their studies or an important investment.
After visiting Penduka will end our tour and you be dropped at your accommodation.
